What’s Inside the Guitarist Inside?

RF: To have a reliable sense of being present, it has become increasingly clear that I need to learn anatomy. Perhaps others in the Team feel the same way?

Anatomy for the Guitar Circle

Online course begins September 10, 2025.

We will meet second Wednesdays at 13:00 Eastern US time; the course will run September, 2025 – May, 2026 (9 sessions).

The Aim: Increasing our capacity for situated knowledge; refining our experience of Life in the Body; deepening our practice.

In the scheme of the carriage, horse, driver, do we know as much about the carriage as we know about our mental and emotional functioning? Our noticing?

How would it change our practice if we did?

This endeavor arises from an “initiative within” and is fueled by a five-year project (2020-2025) combining current Alexander Technique science, dynamic anatomy (vs classical anatomy), Art of Breathing and Alexander Technique  & Guitar Craft principles and practices.

Practical exercises will accompany each unit of study. Recordings will be available for those unable to attend sessions in person. (Though attending in person is recommended!)

The fee for the course is $125 USD, with reduced fees considered for those needing special terms. 

Fee will be waived for Latin American applicants and participants and staff attending the upcoming Introduction to Guitar Craft course in Spring 2026.
