Necessity makes the impossible possible.

I can’t possibly do this!

I have to do this.

These positions are incompatible, perhaps irreconcilable.

What to do?

We hold the two opposing forces – Yes! No! – together.

Very ouch!

If the necessary is necessary, not merely a bright idea or something I’d like to do, necessity acting on the incompatibles seemingly generates a charge, a force, as if of its own.

The impossible is now possible.
