Creative work is serious play.
— Guitar Craft Aphorism
The aim of this project is to support a quality shift in the work of Guitar Craft and The Guitar Circle by raising our level of application and deepening our practice through stillness, movement, guitar practice, and public performance.
A public performance by Silence in Music will be held on Saturday, August 9th, 2026.
Everyone attending the project who wishes to join the performance team will be encouraged and supported to do so.
Guitar calisthenics work will be guided by Andrés Ceccarelli (aka Mighty Bull).
Marian Hafenstein will guide the guitar work for newer generations of Guitar Circlers, providing additional support complementing the full group circles.
Ignacio Gracián will guide Alexander Technique and related work.
Martin Schwutke will introduce Kitchen Craft and hold the role of Kitchen Coordinator.
John Hicks will hold the role of House Manager.
The project will count on the support and initiative of experienced Guitar Circlers including Alejandro Llosa, Marco Moreira, and others yet to be confirmed.
Mariana Scaravilli will attend to the project’s wholeness and unfolding process.

The experience of the first SiM Project (July 2025) set a direction and informed the next project with answers and questions, including:
– A Repertoire & Presence At A Distance Preparation will begin in May and continue through July, so we arrive better prepared and allow more time for finer work when we meet. It is recommended that those who will attend the project in person, participate in this preparation as much as they wish and are able to. Some may learn about this project once the preparation has began: if that’s your case, please be encouraged to join as soon as possible, even if in July. (Email the registrar for more information.)
– The relevance of the Guitar Craft House Rules: are we willing to accept these?
– Newer Guitar Circlers to have dedicated support and guidance.
– An aim of the project was to develop new repertoire. This aim was not achieved, however, it remains an unspoken aim and aspiration.
– The timeframe of the project was tight and we have now added two days more.
. . .
Those who wish to attend please send an application letter to Mariana Scaravilli at marianascaravilli@gmail.com responding to the following questions:
Who are you?
Why do you wish to attend?
What is your aim?
The project will be collectively financed by all in attendance, including its organisers, and support the travel expenses of staff coming from overseas.
The contribution required is EUR 700.
