Announcing the 2007 Fall Season

For the Fall Season, we have planned something quite new. We will begin a 15-week season on September 10 at the Seattle Circle Performance Studio in Ballard. On October 15, and through the end of the run on December 17, we will be moving the performances to the Capital Hill Arts Center.

We are beginning in earnest our search for a new facility; one that is 1) more accessible to our audience, 2) able to more comfortably accommodate a growing audience, and 3) more flexible in terms of the kinds and scope of elements we can consider for inclusion in the production.

As part of this process we have elected to take on this limited run at CHAC. We are very excited about the prospects. To begin with, it is an active performance space located in the heart of one of the most vital and creative neighborhoods in Seattle. This alone will help us to attract a larger and wider audience, as well as making connections with the theatre and music communities here. In addition this run will give us the opportunity to learn more about how best to evolve and expand the production while maintaining the core values of direct and intimate performance. At the end of the run, we will have learned a great deal about what a new and permanent home for Tuning the Air will require.
What: Tuning the Air

A fusion of chamber music and theater. A compelling exploration of improvisations and original works, as well as innovative arrangements of material from Fripp to Bach, Beatles to the Beach Boys. This acoustic guitar orchestra offers audiences a unique experience of music in an intimate setting.
